The 4 Best Breakfast Recipes Ever

It's considered the most important meal of the day, yet over 30 million Americans skip breakfast each morning citing a lack of time and/or not being hungry as their primary excuse. For the life of me, I will never understand the "I'm not hungry" rationale. I'm pretty sure I dream about breakfast. With that, here are four quick and easy breakfast recipes to get your day off on the right foot.

 Scrambled Eggs with Toast

Overview: The all American breakfast minus the crispy, delicious, and wildly unhealthy bacon. While I like to consider myself a capable chef, my scrambled eggs were mediocre at best before watching this video from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay:

Serving Size: 1

Ingredients:

    Directions:

        1. Crack two eggs into a small saucepan
        2. Place a knob of butter into the saucepan with two cracked eggs
        3. Heat the stove top to medium and place saucepan on top 
        4. With a simple spatula begin whisking the eggs (you want to constantly be mixing the eggs throughout the 2-3 minute cooking process)
        5. Take it off the heat for 30 seconds, continuing to stir the eggs
        6. Place back on the heat for 45 seconds adding a touch of milk for extra fluffy eggs
        7. Add a pinch of salt 
        8. Remove from the heat and continue to stir for 30 more seconds 
        9. Place eggs on top of the toast and enjoy the deliciousness

     

     

     Egg Sando

    Overview: How can anything stuck between two english muffins be bad?

    Ingredients:

      Directions:

          1. Toast your English Muffin (if you have a toaster oven, place the cheese on top of the English Muffin halfway through the toasting process). 
          2. Place a saucepan on medium heat.
          3. Drizzle in a little olive oil.
          4. Crack an egg into the saucepan 
          5. Season one side of the egg with a pinch of salt and a touch of black pepper. 
          6. After 1 minute flip the egg over to the other side and cook for 1 more minute. 
          7. Slice a half of an avocado and place onto one side of the toasted English Muffin. 
          8. Place your cooked egg on top of the English Muffin with the melted cheese. 
          9. Fold together and enjoy your Egg Sando with a cup of Joe

      Feel free to get creative. I threw a little steak on there and some sautéed spinach. It was super tasty!

       

       

      Kitchen Sink Power Smoothie

      Overview: I have a friend whose body looks like it's sculpted from the Greek Gods. His muscles have muscles. It's incredible and I'm extremely jealous. Anyways, he drinks one of those power smoothies every morning!

      Ingredients:

      Directions:
      Throw all that healthy goodness into a blender (I suggest a NutriBullet) and pulse until everything is broken down into a creamy shake as seen below:

       

      Power Yogurt

      Overview: This requires very little time, effort, or skill to make, yet it is incredibly delicious.

      Ingredients:

      Directions:

      1. Put yogurt into a bowl
      2. Put granola on top of the yogurt
      3. Slice a banana and place on top of the yogurt
      4. Throw some blueberries in 
      5. Drizzle some honey over the top
